We are heartbroken to share some devastating news with our community. Over the summer holidays, our wonderful Forest School and outdoor classroom were completely destroyed in a fire caused by vandals.
This isn't just a patch of land; it's a vital part of our school and curriculum. Our Forest School was a place where all our learners, from year 7 through to year 11 spent time developing crucial life skills.
It was a space for timetabled lessons, a safe haven for our most vulnerable learners, and an area where young people learned to communicate, build resilience, and work together as a team. Years of hard work, commitment, and funds went into creating this unique learning environment, and it has been incredibly difficult for our staff team and learners to see it all reduced to ashes.
Our young people, in particular, are devastated by this loss. We are determined to rebuild and create an even better space for them to learn and grow. We can't do this alone, and we are reaching out to our amazing parents, carers, governors, and the wider community for support.
If you can, please consider donating to help us with the costs of rebuilding. Every donation, no matter how small, will get us one step closer to bringing back this special place for our young people.
We also know that many hands make light work, so if you have skills in building, landscaping, or just a willingness to lend a hand, your time and effort would be just as valuable. Please get in touch with the school office if you are able to help with the rebuilding efforts.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can turn this devastating event into a new beginning for our Forest School.
