Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
Our hearts are heavy as we share the news that our family home in Sawana, Vanuabalavu , in the Fiji Islands was recently destroyed by a devastating fire. In an instant, the place that held generations of memories, love, and laughter was reduced to ashes. This tragedy has left us grieving the loss of not just a house, but a home filled with irreplaceable memories and the essence of our family’s spirit.
The fire has taken away everything—our belongings, our comfort, and our sense of security. While we are grateful that no lives were lost, we now face the overwhelming task of rebuilding from nothing.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and well-wishers for support as we begin this long and emotional journey of recovery. Any assistance, whether big or small, will make a world of difference in helping us get back on our feet.
Your support will help us with:
Temporary housing and basic necessities such as food, clothing, and toiletries
Rebuilding our home and replacing essential belongings
Providing comfort and hope as we navigate this difficult time
This loss has been deeply felt, but with your generosity, we believe we can rise from this tragedy and rebuild not only our home but also the strength of our family. Together, we can turn this heartbreak into an opportunity to create new memories and restore what has been lost.
Thank you for standing by us in this difficult time. Your prayers, love, and contributions mean more to us than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Eliesa Fotofili
On behalf of my family in Sawana Village, Vanua Balavu, Lau, Fiji
