Help Us Rebuild Cedar's PC: A Community Hub Stolen, But Not

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Our hearts are heavy as we share the devastating news that Cedar's PC, our beloved location and community hub, was broken into, and most of our inventory was stolen. This wasn’t just a loss for our location—this was a loss for our entire community. Over the past five years, we’ve poured our hearts, sweat, and passion into building this space from the ground up. Cedar's PC isn’t just a place where people come to buy Pokémon cards and collectibles; it’s a space where bonds are formed, friendships are nurtured, and a sense of belonging is fostered.

We haven’t just been a location; we’ve been a safe haven for young families, a place where children can come to play, trade, and learn about the world of Pokémon in a supportive and inclusive environment. We’ve seen kids grow up here, friendships blossom, and a community come together in ways we never imagined possible. But now, someone has stolen more than just our inventory—they’ve taken a piece of our community.

In the blink of an eye, we lost a major portion of the inventory, an estimated $20,000 value of inventory, losses of sales, and several irreplaceable collectible items (high-end Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Hockey which have been collected and displayed over 25 years of hobby participation by Professor Cedar and the community). As a growing location, we were still in the process of getting our insurance approved, so we’re left with nothing but the love and support of our community. But we won’t let this incident defeat us. We refuse to let one act of greed destroy the bond we’ve built together over the years.

We’re reaching out to you, our extended family, for help. We’re determined to rebuild Cedar's PC, not just for ourselves, but for everyone who has made this place what it is today. This location belongs to all of us, and we can’t do this alone.

Our community has always stood together, and over the years, we have proudly raised money for CNS & Brain Cancer Research as Cancer Fighters of the Canadian Cancer Society. This spirit of giving and solidarity is what makes Cedar's PC more than just a place to Shop-Sell-Trade —it’s a lifeline for many.

By donating to our GoFundMe, you’re not just helping us replace stolen goods—you’re helping us restore a vital part of our community. You're supporting a place where children find joy, where families come together, and where we all share a passion for something bigger than ourselves. You’re helping us prove that no obstacle is too great when a community stands together.

We promise that with your help, Cedar's PC will rise again, stronger than ever. We will continue to provide the activities, the safe space, and the community spirit that you’ve all come to love and rely on. We may have been knocked out, but with your support, we’ll get back up and keep fighting for our dream and for the community we all hold dear.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and generosity during this difficult time. Together, we can rebuild Cedar's PC and continue to be the hub of our community.

Losses Breakdown: (Estimated)
Stolen Sealed Value: $2,715
Stolen Singles Value: $18,000

Of coarse the above is estimated and quite substantial, I will be contributing my own personal collection of cards to carry us through the coming months as we begin to rebuild and recover our inventory.

Any sort of donations are a huge boon and will go to recovering our sealed and singles inventory, I did not set the amount of the goal at the total lost retail value as I would never expect to find and recover some of our most valuable and unreplaceable collectibles (Such as Flareon Jungle Misprint) Those will come over time.

I will also be using an allocation of the donated money to upgrade infrastructure and furniture for better security so this does not happen again. I will be posting updates and sharing these upgrades as the campaign continues.

With gratitude and determination,

Joseph (aka. Professor Cedar)
