Help Us Rebuild After Devastating Freeze Damage to Our Inherited Homestead

Our Goal: $5,000 Needed by Thanksgiving to Get Home for the Holidays:
My name is Tamiya Calhoun and me and my family are facing a devastating crisis this holiday season. During the severe winter freeze a few years back ,our mobile home suffered catastrophic damage from busted pipes, leaving it barely habitable and threatening our safety causing my Husband who has epilepsy back to back seizures last year .
Our home was left to us by our grandfather ,who willed it to our Mother Cynthia. The home wasn't built with a dirt pad so it already started having structural issues and then the freeze hit.

The Disaster: Legacy Home Destroyed by Water and Mold

The initial damage from the burst pipes was severe. Water flooded the home, soaking the interior and causing immediate issues, but the true devastation occurred beneath the surface. The leak caused an immense buildup of moisture underneath the trailer, saturating the ground and seeping directly into the flooring and walls.

We tried everything to save our home and not lose memories . We attempted to remove the siding, but the moisture damage was already too significant. This was immediately followed by three weeks of non-stop rain, which compounded the issue beyond repair.

Result: The floors are now rotting, and dangerous mold has spread throughout the structure, rendering our mobile home unsalvageable. As well as electrical issues and our floors have caved in. We've exhausted all avenues of trying to DIY ourselves and can help from France and family, even our church and members of the community here and there, to try to repair our home it just become too much.

The Light Ahead (And The Urgent Gap)
The good news is that Me ( Tamiya) ,my husband( Erick )and mother (Cynthia) put all our resources together and got approved for a new mobile home, which is scheduled to arrive in December, maybe late January. This is our chance to get the family back into a safe, stable, and healthy environment for the holidays and future.

However, the disaster cleanup, debris and tree removal, and required foundation rebuilding have exhausted our savings. And now we have a critical financial gap.
We need to raise the remaining $5,000 by November 30 to complete the necessary site preparation, foundation work, and finish closing on the new home .We're in pre closing and have a right deadline.

Where Your Donation Goes:
This $5,000 goal is the final push needed to ensure our family has a roof over their heads this winter. Every dollar will go directly toward these essential, immediate needs:
