Hi, my name is Lucca Riccoboni and I volunteer at the Swanton Pacific Railroad in Davenport, CA. Working there has been my dream since I can remember. I'm 10 years old and even though I'm a kid, the volunteers have spent time teaching me and letting me participate in many activities, including cleaning and oiling the tracks, working on the U-Boat Diesel #502 (my favorite) and #6-4-2 Pacific #1914, and removing and replacing old track, since I was 7 years old.  This railroad means a lot to me and to all the people who come to enjoy it every year.

The recent fire in Santa Cruz County destroyed most of the Swanton Pacific Railroad area. It is a very special place, located in a small valley next to the ocean, surrounded by trees and filled with butterflies and other wildlife. There is a lot of work to do to bring it back, and my goal is to help as much as I can to rebuild it. All of the funds will be used for buying the equipment and parts needed to repair the tracks, the round house, the car barn and the engines. 

Everyone who works at the Swanton Pacific Railroad is a volunteer, and I know that rebuilding everything is going to cost a lot of money. I want to help as much as I can, and I am very grateful for anything you can donate.
