On saturday January 31st. Myself, my husband and my son were forced out of our home due to an apartment fire in the complex we have called home for 10 years. There was a fire in the boiler/laundry room that took away water and heat for the entire building. The property than told us we have to be out by 7pm that day or we would be considered trespassers. This money would help my family secure new housing, all while trying to continue to go to work, school and live our daily lives. On top of us being displaced around 70 other families were as all. The red cross has withdrawn there help for everyone as of February 1st. Many of my neighbors have no where to go or the ability to pay out of pocket as most have just paid there February rent. Any funds that I made over the amount I need to move will be given to neighbors who I've built a relationship with for the last 10 years. We are currently staying in a hotel. I have secured another apartment but cannot move until March. These funds would help us survive, go toward a security deposit for a new place and help cover moving costs as this was not something I was planning on having to do. If you cannot donate I completely understand as money is very tight for all families but if you could at least share so I can not only keep providing for my family but maybe help a few others that need it as well I would be forever grateful. Thank you all so much for taking the time.
