During a severe storm, a 100ft pine tree crashed down onto our home. Thankfully, no one was hurt but the tree destroyed our kitchen, dining room, mudroom, and attic. The impact also caused flooding, damage to our HVAC system, roof, and the structure of the house. When the fire department arrived, they deemed our home unlivable and unsafe due to structural, fire, water, and electrical hazards. They shut off the power and insisted we relocate immediately for our safety.

So at 1am, we had to leave our home with our two small children and stay at the fire house until the red cross was able to help us find a place to stay the night. Currently, we are staying in a hotel, trying to find stability while we figure out our next steps and salvage what we can. This has been completely devastating for us and overwhelming, but we're doing our best to stay strong for our family.

These funds will help us maintain a place to stay, boarding for our dog, Dax, pay for food and essentials and cover the many expenses that insurance doesn't.
