Hi friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
Life has thrown us more than a few curveballs lately, and we’re doing everything we can to keep moving forward — but now, we truly need help.
Just weeks ago, I lost my job unexpectedly. While I immediately applied Other positions for work and for unemployment, delays in processing mean we’ve had no steady income for weeks. As if that weren’t enough, our landlord recently increased our rent beyond what we can afford, forcing us into the difficult reality that we need to relocate across the country to find stability.
We’ve budgeted carefully, sold what we can, and cut every possible cost, but moving is expensive — and with my sudden loss of income and rising living costs, we simply can’t cover it all on our own.
We’re asking for help to cover:
Moving truck & gas for the cross-country drive
Packing materials to safely transport what we own
Temporary lodging while transitioning to a new home
Security deposits, utilities, and setup fees
This isn’t just a move — it’s our chance to start over in a place where we can rebuild and work toward a brighter future. Any amount you can give will go directly toward these moving expenses. Even if you can’t contribute financially, sharing our story means the world to us.
It’s humbling to ask for help, but I know that with the kindness of others, we can make it through this chapter and find solid ground again.
Thank you, truly, for your generosity, compassion, and support.
With gratitude,
The Pifer family
