On a recent night, a three-alarm fire of unknown cause tore through our home, destroying the entire building and leaving me and my roommates with nothing salvageable from the wreckage. We escaped with our lives, but everything else—clothes, essentials, and the place we called home—was lost in the flames. The shock and devastation have been overwhelming, and we’re now facing the challenge of rebuilding from scratch.
