The day after Thanksgiving 2025, my life changed in an instant. A faulty wire caused a fire in our home, and while the house didn't burn to the ground, the damage was devastating. The brave firefighters did everything they could to save our home, but in the process, they had to cause major damage to make sure the fire was completely out. Now, our house isn't livable. We have no electricity, no heat, and the entire place needs to be rewired, which is incredibly expensive. Every day since then has been a struggle. My boys and I have had to move into a shelter, and it's been so hard to see them lose their smiles and sense of security. I'm doing my best to stay strong for them, but the pain of this situation is overwhelming. I am thankful and faithful, but it's hard not to feel the weight of everything we've lost. As a mother, I know I have to keep going for my children, even when it feels impossible. What we need most right now is help to get the materials and repairs needed to make our home safe and livable again. Being able to move back into our first family home would be life-changing for us.
