On January 28th, our home of the last 18 years burned down, and we lost everything. We escaped with only the clothes we had on and nothing else. One of our vehicles was also lost to the fire. The experience was terrifying and left us feeling vulnerable, but we are grateful to have made it out safely.

The funds raised will go towards helping us secure new housing and replace essential items, like furniture and household goods. After weeks of uncertainty, we finally found a new place to live, which gives us hope for a fresh start. However, the challenges continue, as I am facing the loss of my full-time job within the next year. This makes it even harder to stay afloat while rebuilding our lives and coping with the loss of our main income.

We are overwhelmed by the kindness and support from our community. I want to thank everyone who has reached out since the fire and all who are able to help.
