On April 17, my apartment building was struck by lightning and burned down. It was a terrifying experience for me, my son Jase, and our dog Lola, as we were all inside the apartment when it happened. Thankfully, we all made it out safely, but the building is a total loss and we lost nearly everything we owned.

Now, we are facing the challenge of starting over from scratch. We need to find a new place to live and replace essentials like furniture, electronics, beds, and clothes. The process of rebuilding our lives is overwhelming, but I am grateful that my family is safe. Every bit of support will help us get back on our feet and provide some stability for Jase and Lola as we move forward.
