Help Us Rebuild: A Fresh Start for Our Growing Family

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Life took an unexpected and difficult turn for my husband and me in August 2024. A wrongful arrest, based on false accusations, left my husband injured—he suffered a broken nose and rib after a brutal encounter with law enforcement. As self-employed couriers, this put a huge strain on our ability to work, and we quickly found ourselves in financial hardship. Every penny we had saved was used to fight this ongoing legal battle, leaving us struggling to stay afloat.

As the months went on, things only got harder. We lost a vehicle due to missed payments, and by November 2024, we lost our home—a trailer we had worked so hard to own. Around this same time, we received unexpected but life-changing news: we are expecting a baby, due in May 2025.

With limited options, we lived between our van and occasional stays in hotels, trying to make the best of a difficult situation. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a family member, we were able to stay in a hotel for a few months, and by God's grace, we recently secured a home through a land contract. It’s a blessing to have a roof over our heads again, but the home is in need of serious repairs before it's safe and fully livable—especially with a baby on the way.

Our Urgent Needs

Our biggest priority is replacing the HVAC system. A contractor confirmed that the current system contains asbestos, making it unsafe to use. The water heater is also failing and badly rusted. After researching cost-effective solutions, we found that a ductless HVAC system would be the most affordable and practical option, but it’s still beyond our financial reach.

On top of that, just a few days ago, our only vehicle broke down, preventing us from working and making it even harder to get back on our feet.

Here’s how your donations would help:

$1,000 - $2,000: Vehicle repairs (engine misfire, oil change, and other essential fixes to restore it to safe working condition).

$6,000 - $7,000: Vehicle repairs + installation of a Mr. Cool Mini Split ductless HVAC system (which we can install ourselves).

$8,000 - $15,000: Everything above + a new water heater and essential kitchen repairs (stove, sink, countertops).
