Help Us Raise Funds to Keep Maker Studio Safe

Hi Makers!

About a week ago we experienced a break-in at our new studio in Hayes Valley. :(

We had a few expensive items stolen such as our community work desktop computer and a variety of tools & materials.

After we put quite a lot of work into moving and as we continue to do so, our first priority is safety. We are working on making our space as secure as possible to avoid any future break-ins.

At our old space on Haight street, we had a big metal fence to protect the studio from break-ins. We would like to crowd-fund to be able to install one at our Hayes location. Unfortunately, these security gates are not cheap, and we could use the support from our community to help us secure our studio as safely as possible.

Since our break-in, we have installed indoor window brackets as well as ADT on-call security. When we made our police report after the break-in, we were recommended our best bet is to get a security gate on the outside to be the absolute safest.
