I am trying to read 100 books this year to raise money for the Hummingbird Initiative, the funds will go towards building a classroom for the children of Kanjoo, Kenya. This is going to be difficult as I am also halfway through my GCSE courses and will have to complete lots of schoolwork at the same time. I started the challenge on Jan 1st and I aim to have read 100 books by December 31st.

I’m taking on a 3-month pescetarian challenge — no meat, just fish and plant-based meals — to raise money for the Hummingbird Initiative’s School Community Challenge, as the children otherwise learn in harsh conditions where it is difficult to learn. I started the challenge on July 25th and it will end on October 25th - I may choose to continue afterwards. I’ll be cutting out all meat (except fish) and committing to more conscious, environmentally friendly eating. It won’t be easy but I would love to help build the classroom.

The Hummingbird Initiative is my godmother's charity which helps communities in Kenya one step at a time.
