HELP US PROVIDE THANKSGIVING MEALS AGAIN

Please donate to support Restonstrong’s 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Meal Drive 2022

The past year has been hard for many families. But many are unaware that Reston has food-insecure families in need of a hot meal.

Reston Strong has identified over 100 families in need for this Thanksgiving and is collecting donations to provide them a meal from a local Harris Teeter grocery store chain. These families in need were identified via school social workers. The families that need the most support are on the weekend meals plans. We appreciate the help of our partners Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Costco and several local restaurants.

We would like to get most of the donations in by Friday, November 11th to provide them with an estimate. Any donation over the goal for Thanksgiving meals will be put towards our adjacent goal of providing shelters for homeless facing the upcoming Winter weather conditions.

What's included?

The fresh turkey dinner from Harris Teeter includes:

-Turkey (12-14 lbs)

-Carrot soufflé

-Cornbread stuffing

-Green bean casserole

-Red skin mashed potatoes

-Rich turkey gravy

-Fresh cranberry relish

-Dessert
