Our Village Room is more than just a building… it’s where our community comes together.
It’s where friendships are formed, classes are held, celebrations happen, and where so many memories have been made over the years. For many, it’s a lifeline of connection, especially in a rural community like ours.
Sadly, we now find ourselves needing to act. Significant woodworm has been discovered deep within the internal walls of the building, and while it’s not always visible, the damage it causes over time is serious. This means essential work is needed now to protect the structure and secure the future of the Village Room.
Alongside addressing this, we’re taking the opportunity to improve insulation and electrics, helping to create a warmer, brighter and more welcoming space for everyone who uses it.
Thanks to careful planning and saving over the years, we’re able to fund the majority of the project ourselves. But we need your help to get it over the line.
We’re aiming to raise £5,000 to provide a vital safety net, ensuring we can complete the work properly without putting pressure on the long-term future of the Village Room.
This is a true community effort. Local people are already stepping forward to help, with volunteers ready to decorate and support once the main works are complete.
This isn’t just about repairing a building, it’s about protecting a place that brings people together.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference.
Thank you for helping us keep the heart of our village alive
