Our community came together in this beautiful place for peace and quiet, to hear birds singing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and to grow fruit trees, vegetables, and flowers. We wanted fresh well water, clean air, and a safe, welcoming environment for our families. Many of us moved here to escape the noise and stress of city life, hoping to build a home where we could stay for the rest of our lives.

Now, all of that is at risk. Our local leaders are trying to bring a data center less than two miles from our homes. This facility could bring air pollution, threaten our well water, and introduce chemicals into the rivers where our friends fish. We’ve worked so hard to build our homes and our lives here, and now we’re facing the loss of everything we’ve built—our property values, our health, and our peace of mind. The constant noise, pollution, and environmental risks would change our community forever, and we worry about what will be left for our children.

Our group has already spent countless hours and our own money to fight this. We have covered costs for flyers, signs, paper, advertising, gas, attending public events, and more. But we can’t do it alone. We need to hire an attorney to help us stand up for our rights and protect our homes.
