HERSHAM’S GREEN BELT ON THE CORNER OF BURWOOD ROAD AND TURNERS LANE AND THE ADJOINING LAND CURRENTLY OCCUPIED BY THE KENNELS IS UNDER THREAT FROM TWO SEPARATE PLANNING APPLICATIONS. WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Once our natural green belt has been allowed for housing, it can never be replaced. In addition, this land is part of the River Mole catchment basin, so will be vital as a buffer against future potential flooding and excess surface water.

Both sites have requested Environmental Impact Assessments and will be followed by full planning applications. Both developers have had online consultations.

References to affordable housing in these documents is a Government requirement not a matter of choice as implied by the developers. We need to ensure that accurate information is given to residents, so that everyone can make meaningful comments and objections.
