Fighting period poverty in Lebanon!

Diaries of U aims to fight period poverty in Lebanon by locally producing reusable pads and distributing them to needy people. This project was born from JCI Beirut's award-winning gender equality campaign, So Can She.

 

With the current economic crisis in Lebanon, buying monthly period products is inaccessible for the vast majority - as it would be equivalent to paying 50$, 50€, 150CHF per month for someone with minimum wage, solely on period products.

 

Our volunteers work hand in hand with local seamstresses to produce and distribute reusable pads. We need your support to bring reusable period pads to menstruators around Lebanon! Whatever your donation, it will have a massive impact. You can choose to donate the amount you wish, or decide to sponsor a full kit (30$) to cover one person's menstrual needs forever. Similarly, by donating 300$, you would cover 10 people. We value every cent and will make sure to put them to best use. 

With the current difficult banking situation in Lebanon, the fundraiser organizer is Marie Khalife, 2022 JCI Beirut President who will be sending all funds to Lebanon via Western Union. The amount will be sent and received in USD.
