Help Us Overcome Hardship Together

In 2022, my life spiraled after contracting COVID-19, which exacerbated my prior autoimmune diseases and brought on other, yet undiagnosed health conditions.

The pandemic, coupled with economic instability, extra doctor appointments, stagnant wages, and a lack of affordable housing, left me struggling to recover financially. I lost the home I was renting when the owners of the house decided to sell. That is when I moved in with someone who I thought was a trustworthy acquaintance, but soon became abusive. While they were experiencing a bipolar psychotic episode, they attacked me, leaving me with permanent scars emotionally and physically. After enduring this assault, my son and I became homeless, fighting to find safety and stability. Navigating doctor appointments, caring for my son as a single, now homeless mother and limited work opportunities made rebuilding nearly impossible.

To make matters worse, in November 2024, I was in a car accident that left my vehicle in need of costly repairs. I’m currently living in a monthly rate motel that is 25 miles from my son’s school, my work and doctors office and without access to the public transportation system. Im trying to secure safe housing and reliable transportation for myself and my son, so I can continue to become financially independent and stable.

I’m humbly asking for help to cover car repairs and a deposit plus first and last month’s rent so we can leave the motel and rebuild our lives.
