Every senior deserves to grow old with dignity, safety and the person they love. Please help the Edith and Eddie Foundation open its first Edith and Eddie House in Palm Coast, Florida: a safe, caring home where elderly couples can stay together.

Why this matters to us

Two elderly loved ones in our family, ages 95 and 96, married late in life. One of them was living with dementia and could not make decisions independently. A family member arranged for them to be legally married, and that brought unexpected challenges, especially when it came to finding housing. They did not have the money for a care facility or for housing that could meet their needs.

After they passed, we kept thinking about how many other elderly couples face the same struggle. They want to stay together, but they don't have the resources to do it.

What we're building

We have a single-family home, and our dream is to renovate it into an Edith and Eddie House: a place where elderly couples, especially those living with dementia or on limited incomes, can remain together in a safe and supportive environment, with dignity, comfort and care.

Where your donation goes

The money raised goes directly toward:

• Essential renovations to the home

• Safety upgrades

• Special equipment so the home meets the needs of elderly residents and those living with dementia
