Last month or so, after requesting some basic maintenance upon move in, our landlords has been looking for a reason to evict us. They used my girlfriend’s (who we were trying to add to the lease) visits as an excuse to say we violated the lease by subletting, which we did not. We provided what we could as proof to the contrary and are undergoing mediation but it isn’t looking good. Despite providing information and attempting to work with them, They have stonewalled us at every turn and we may have to move at a moment’s notice at the end of the month. We straight up do not have the money to either fight it in court or to move. Please help us stay housed in a home we worked so hard to obtain and already put so much time to make it feel like home. Funds will be used for legal fees to keep us housed.
