My family and I have been homeless and living in an emergency state shelter for the last year. I recently lost my job due to housing instability and lack of child care, and we are struggling to maintain money for bills and moving costs. We have been surviving off of my savings I had built, which has dwindled since losing my job, and we no longer have the funds to get into an apartment. Our shelter location is closing June 30th of this year, and we are uncertain where we will end up if we don't find stable housing beforehand. I have a very hard time asking for help, but I am desperate to get my family out of our situation and provide a stable, happy home for my children.
