My husband and I are both full-time artists and small business owners in New Orleans, sharing our lives with two beloved furbabies. We recently moved into what we hoped would be our new home, only to be blindsided by a situation we never could have anticipated. Just six days after settling in, we received a seizure notice from the sheriff's office. We learned that our landlord had rented us a home that is actually in foreclosure, and now we are facing the reality that we will have to move again once the house goes to auction. To make matters worse, our landlord has disappeared, making it impossible to recover any of the money we paid to move in.

This has left us in a very difficult position, both emotionally and financially. As artists and small business owners, our income is already unpredictable, and now we are scrambling to find a new place to live for ourselves and our two pets.
