Our much loved village playground needs your help.

Following a recent safety inspection, two of the playground’s main pieces of equipment were sadly found to be unsafe due to age-related deterioration. As a result, they’ve had to be closed - a real loss for our local children and families.

After exploring all options, we’ve been advised that these items can’t be repaired and must be fully replaced. The cost of doing so is significant, estimated at £30,000-£40,000.

Great Milton Recreation Ground Management Committee, which oversees the playground, is a charity that is run by volunteers. We’re actively applying for funding from local and national organisations and will be running community fundraising events along the way. But we also know that not everyone has the time to volunteer or attend events and that’s where this page comes in.

If you or your family have enjoyed the playground in the past, use it now, or hope to in the future. Even if you simply value having a safe, welcoming play space at the heart of our village - we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, really does make a difference.
