Help us make Lily a Dixon!!!!

Paisley - I was 17 years old when I had Lily and although it was much earlier than I had expected to be a mother, she has truly been a beautiful blessing. As her biological father and I split shortly after Lily was born, I worked hard as a single mother to provide for her the best I could. Don’t get me wrong, I had lots of help from my family and I am so grateful. When Lily was 16 months old in 2012, I met Timothy and he promised to take care of Lily and I for the rest of our lives. He has been there for Lily through everything: sleepless nights, potty training, how to ride a bike, how to read, losing all her baby teeth, getting glasses, etc. Every day Tim continues to fulfill his promise to us and every day we are so thankful to have him in our lives. We talked for years about having him adopt Lily and now we are finally trying to make that dream come true. Unfortunately this process has brought forth lots of pushback from her biological father (who has not been active in her life) and his family. We have been working through the legal process since March 2021 and have had our share of ups and downs along the way. When it all started we had no idea what a massive financial undertaking this would be for us. We finally have a court date in March 2024 for the termination of parental rights and if we win that, we will have a second court date for the actual adoption. With court fees, attorney fees, filing fees, and not to mention a name change, a new birth certificate, etc we are anticipating a massive hit to our finances. Timothy- I met Paisley and Lily in 2012. I immediately felt a love like I had never felt before. I knew that I had to have both of them in my life. I was young and so was she but I didn't let that get in the way. I immediately started to help take care of Lily and never had been happier. After Paisley and I got Married I wanted to Adopt Lily and give her my last name. Early on we didn't have the money for all the court fees that would come along with this process. We finally were able to get enough money to start the process. We thought it would be quick and easy since her real dad was nonexistent. He has fought us ever since and financially this has been extremely difficult on us. This has been going on for two years and is almost over. Unfortunately our savings has been drained and we need some help. Please help us finish the adoption process.
