Help us Make Bentley a Forever Part of our Family

For the past year, we have had the privilege of wrapping our arms around a sweet 8-year-old boy from the neighborhood. Bentley needs a stable, long-term home, and we ask for your help to make it possible.

Nearly 2 years ago, we moved into our home, which quickly became the place to hang out for all the neighborhood kids. We joke that our boy came over one day and never left because it is the fastest way to tell a long and complicated story. Playdates turned to dinners, which turned into before and after school pickups. During those weeks, we learned a bit more about his story. With his parents unavailable and his grandmother growing increasingly ill, we felt called to provide a safe place for him. Before the year was out, his grandmother began an extended hospital stay, and we opened our home for him to stay. She did not recover, and he has been with us ever since. Throughout the time he has lived with us, we have seen him thrive! He has shown incredible development in school, performing at grade level in subjects for the first time. We’ve watched his overall health improve tremendously and seen him excel in sports, including an undefeated basketball season with his brother. Through all of this, we have seen his confidence blossom, and want to help maintain his momentum into a strong and capable young man.

Our needs for him are straightforward: stepping in before social services, and we ask that you support us as we walk in this calling. We are raising funds for the full gamut of building another person into our family: legal funds, certifications, family vehicle adjustments, the very real possibility of making adjustments to our home, and some stabilizing funds for the unexpected.

We have a big goal, but we serve a big God and we're asking for your help to link arms as we walk this path.
