Aghabullogue Community Council has been informed that Cork County Council will be installing a combined driver feedback sign and flashing school-warning sign on the Rylane side of the village. This installation is being provided under Cork County Council’s Village Enhancement Scheme. The installation date has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected within the next two to three months. This sign will be fully funded by Cork County Council.

To ensure consistent road safety on both approaches to the village, we are now fundraising for a second combined feedback sign to be placed on the opposite side of Aghabullogue. With a national school and a community hall located in the village, it is vital that drivers are encouraged to slow down as they enter and pass through our community. These signs have been proven to slow drivers down, making them an effective and important safety measure. Having a sign at both ends of the village will greatly improve safety for children, families, and all who use these essential facilities.

The cost of the additional driver feedback sign is €4458.50
