Make a Difference: Support the National Rally Collective
Donation protected
We need your help to raise $17,000 to ensure the success of over 26 nationwide rallies in Australia, organised by the National Rally Collective. These rallies are a crucial platform for raising awareness and demanding action against mens violence!
The National Rally Collective is a volunteer led group of over 100 volunteers nation-wide, turning their pain into passion. What Were You Wearing (WWYW) our main supporter is an essential service supporting survivors of sexual violence, and is dedicating significant resources to these events. However, as they are not government-funded, they cannot cover all the costs.
Here's a breakdown of how your donations will be used:
Welcome to Country: $13,000
Auslan Interpreters: $3,750
Resources (support cards, printed materials): $500
Venue Hire/Permits (for locations that require it): $2,000
Volunteer Equipment (megaphones, high-vis vests, first aid kits): $1,000
Sound Equipment & Generators: $7,000
Any remaining funds will be distributed as follows:
- 50% will be donated to What Were You Wearing Australia.
- 50% will be split between these vital organisations:
What Were You Wearing Australia: Is a not-for-profit Indigenous led organisation fighting to end sexual violence. Any funds provided to their services will help the continuation of their Survivor Healing Groups. These are culturally safe, accessible, trauma-informed and free groups for victim-survivors to attend around Australia! WWYW also offer safe spaces within Music festivals and venues around the country, ensuring patrons within our nightlife are always safe.
Djirra: Djirra is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation with over 20 years' experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children who have, or are currently experiencing family violence. We reach every corner of Victoria, and our services include specialist family violence support, legal, case management and holistic programs for Aboriginal women. We also offer a drop-in service called Koori Women's Place, where Aboriginal women can get food, clothes, women's hygiene products, and even just a cup of tea and somewhere to relax.
Mudgin-Gal: We can assure you that all funds will go directly into our drop-in center, which provides a variety of essential services for Aboriginal women experiencing or escaping domestic violence. Your contribution will directly assist grassroots Aboriginal women, who are among the most underrepresented and disadvantaged in Australia, ensuring they receive the support and assistance they urgently need to improve their lives.
One Percent Program: Helping other young Indigenous males in the NT lift themselves up, one percent at a time. They run weekly sessions in Darwin for anyone who wants to attend and engage the young men in a range of activities.
The physical component includes jogging, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and pad work. There are team-building activities to improve communication, build confidence, and reduce stress. Practical skills like applying for a car loan, financial tips, what to put in a job application, healthy relationships and mindfulness.

Each ‘Escape Bag’ contains high-quality products as we understand the importance of feeling comforted and worthy in a crisis. Our ‘Escape Bags’ are not gender-specific and, by providing two variations, ‘Parent and Child’ and ‘Single Adult’, we proudly cater for ALL victims of abuse.
