Hello, My name is Kayla and I’m the daughter and younger sister of the two people in the photo. My mother, Laquita, was very sick and had been in the hospital for about a month. During that time my older brother, Dominic, who has always taken his role as the man of the family seriously, would sleep at that hospital with her and check in on my younger brother Jaiden and me. We all leaned on him through this rough time. Over the weekend, Dominic died unexpectedly in his sleep. Less than 24 hours later, my mother also took her last breath. Jaiden and I have suddenly lost the two most important people in our lives. I just turned 23 and am grief stricken and overwhelmed with the sudden task of burying them both.
