Help us Launch the Vida Midwifery Collective!

A few months ago, the concept of a collectively owned midwifery practice centered in

social justice was just a dream four midwife friends were tossing around. This spring we decided to take the leap, and officially launch the Vida Midwifery Collective. We have made big strides since then- launching our website, finding and furnishing our office, getting hired by our first handful of clients, and most importantly dreaming, visioning and collaborating on how best to serve our community as midwives rooted in social justice and collective

liberation. We are working towards the goal of being able to serve all families regardless

of their ability to pay, and providing free, accessible community programming alongside

community partners.

 

To fully transition into collective practice and close our own private practices, we need

your help! We are in the process of becoming a 501c3 non - profit, and have graciously

been offered help, guidance and financial sponsorship from Elephant Circle (a non profit

centered around birth justice) as we walk through this process. This means any donation

you make to the Vida Midwifery Collective will be tax deductible. Just like in birth, transition is the hardest part of this and we are turning to our community to help us through. Money raised will be used for start- up costs and to help our midwives transtition from private to group practice. Any extra funding that is raised will be used to help off set care costs for families that cannot afford midwifery care.
