Nearly 4 months ago, my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease — a neurodegenerative disease that impairs both movement and mood. As I watched my father develop a tremor, worsened motor skills, and other health-related issues, I made a promise to myself: that I would do the best I could to treat and spread awareness for this disease.
That is why I founded “For Every Step”, a community service organization that hopes to support individuals with all types of movement disorders, while also recognizing the often-overlooked mental health challenges these conditions may pose.
In order to begin fundraising and crafting ideas for community events, it is crucial that I certify organization status and create a functioning website — both of which require a monetary cost. Through this fundraiser, I hope to obtain the necessary amount of money to begin building this organization and caring for as many people as possible.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
