Every week, a small team of local volunteers gives up their time to mow our much-loved community field — the space so many of us use for dog walking, playing with kids, or just getting some fresh air.

This isn’t a council-run space. There’s no formal funding. But thanks to a handful of residents and one shared mower, we’ve managed to keep the area clean, safe, and usable for everyone.

Now, we need a bit of help. The mower needs regular maintenance to keep going, and the rising cost of fuel means we’re struggling to cover even the basics.

We’re not asking for much — just enough to keep the mower running, cover fuel costs, and carry out minor repairs when needed. Every pound goes directly into keeping the grass down and the field open for all.
