Help us Keep our Treasured Home

Hi family, friends, and strangers who are welcome to be both. I'm Miriam Kramer, my husband is Jared Cooper, and most importantly to us, is our daughter Avery. In the summer of 2024, we were blessed to buy our first home. A two bedroom condo that allowed Avery her own room. I'm proud of how I decorated it, and will be even more proud of how she'll decorate it if she gets the opportunity. Every room here has its own magical memories. We are abundantly wealthy in love, and understand that is the richest we can be. We just want to keep our home. So here's the less fun stuff: I have a longstanding history with both physical and mental health struggles.

My physical health has been on a steady decline for the past 4 years, rapidly worsening since January, 2026. I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, chronic pain syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia, and accelerated degenerative joint disease. I can barely walk. Most days I can't fully dress myself. I'm searching extremely hard to find a doctor to do lumbar injections, I just also need to. I've lost friendships, memories, and experiences. I've lost who I am. I want to take long walks with my daughter, maybe someday run with her.

For the past 3 years, I have also been in the most unrelenting, cruel combination of depression, anxiety, and PTSD of my life. I've tried a long list of treatments, including inpatient treatment, ECT, and recently in-person PHP moving forward to IOP. Unfortunately, a lot of my more recent depression has been largely situational. In May, 2025, I was laid off from my nonprofit career and have struggled to find work since. In October, my brother died, a deafening rip across this plane. Life isn't pulling any punches. Jared recently told me: If somebody asked me how many times you've been knocked down, I wouldn't be able to say. But if they asked how many times you got back up, I would say, Every single time.

Jared is the most hardworking human I know. He barely takes PTO, despite suffering from migraines. He works overtime when allowed, and is cherished as an Excel guru and for his support and kind teachings. But it is a rare thing to live on one income in these times. Despite that, what he has always been most dedicated to is his family, both his birth (better word), and Avery and me. She is a bottle of joy, sunshine, and curiosity. I too am blessed with wonderful parents and extended family. Jared and I have stood together and as pillars supporting one another through each struggle. But now we have reached the point where we need to ask for help.

We never wanted to be in a place of asking for money. No one does. Every penny goes to the singular purpose of keeping our home: living expenses, essential expenses. Any amount you can offer has a good home with us.
