Help Us Keep Our Theatre!

Hello! My name is Jakob Michael, and I currently serve as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Three Rivers Music Theatre.

In 2016, Three Rivers Music Theatre (TRMT) and Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy (TTPAA) were founded as beacons of creativity, passion, and artistic expression. Our mission was to bring the transformative power of live theatre to our community, while also offering a variety of classes for anyone in our community to participate in. Through TTPAA, we saw the joy of our performers grow as they trained to become well-rounded artists, ready to take on the world of theatre.

For years, our students and performers brought energy, talent, and heart to our stages and classes. Each of our seasons were filled with magic: four full-scale musicals, a play, and an additional cabaret season. These productions were not just performances—they were an immersive experience for our audiences, a chance for individuals to gather and share in the power of storytelling and song.

However, 2020 changed everything. The COVID-19 pandemic caused an unexpected shift in the world, and like so many other businesses, we could not sustain two companies anymore. TTPAA was forced to close its doors, but the challenges didn’t stop there. With a sudden spike in rent, we lost the space that had become the foundation of our work. Our hearts were heavy, but we refused to let this setback define us. The resilience of our team, the passion of our performers, and the unwavering support of our community kept us going. We took TRMT on the road - finding ways to continue our work, connecting with people wherever we could, even in the most difficult of times.

In 2023, we were fortunate enough to find a new home—a space to once again breathe life into our productions. But, the reality of running a theatre is always a challenge. As we strive to continue providing top-notch performances for our community, we are faced with new struggles. Economic uncertainty, rising inflation, and increasing operational costs threaten our ability to stay afloat. Our rent has increased again, and the cost of doing business continues to rise.

As we wrap up our 9th season, we are asking for your help. TRMT is not just a theatre company—it is a cornerstone of our community. It’s a place where dreams are realized, where performers take the stage and grow into their fullest potential. It’s a place where stories come to life, and audiences are transported into worlds of laughter, tears, and joy. Without your support, that magic may fade.

Your contribution helps us continue to put on the performances you love. It ensures that our artists have the resources they need to shine, and it provides the space for our community to gather and be inspired.
