Help Us Keep Our Little Family Together

Hi friends, family, and kind strangers—

We’re raising funds to help cover the application fees for my husband Jordy’s permanent residence visa here in the U.S. The total cost is around $1,400, which includes two separate fees as part of the immigration process. We’re asking for help so Jordy can finally begin the next chapter of life with stability, purpose, and the ability to work and support our little family.

Our Story

Jordy and I met online in May 2023 and quickly became close friends—talking every day, watching movies together, playing games, sharing our thoughts and lives. In October 2023, we officially became a couple, and not long after, he visited me and my family in Maine. We shared Thanksgiving, my birthday, and made beautiful memories exploring the state together.

In February 2024, we reunited in Oxford for Valentine’s Day, and that summer, Jordy came back to Maine—and proposed! We spent the summer hiking, camping, and soaking in every moment.

Life took a turn in August when Jordy began experiencing some health issues. As we worked through the medical challenges and navigated it all without insurance, we also found out we were expecting our first child.

Our plans to get married in March shifted when our daughter Daphne arrived six weeks early in late February. Once she was home and healthy, we had a small but beautiful signing ceremony on April 13th, surrounded by my mom, sister, and the love we built together.

The Challenge

Right now, Jordy doesn’t have a visa that allows him to work in the U.S. Although he is eager and ready to provide for us, legally, he can’t—yet. We’re living off my single income while caring for our newborn and navigating new parenthood, and we simply can’t afford the visa application fees on our own.

Your help would directly fund the permanent residence application Jordy qualifies for, bringing us one step closer to stability, security, and the chance for Jordy to build a life and career here with us.
