My family is facing an incredibly difficult time. My mom has always been a kind and caring person, and as a recovering alcoholic, she’s worked hard to build a safe and loving home for me and my little sister. We’ve lived here for years, and I truly would be nowhere without her support. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when my stepdad was arrested for harming my little sister. My sister is 13, autistic, and loves Hello Kitty and dressing up. This situation has left us all shaken and struggling to cope, both emotionally and financially.

Right now, my mom and I are not doing well. We’re trying to hold things together, but the weight of everything is overwhelming. We’re facing urgent needs—paying the mortgage to keep our home, covering therapy for my sister, and handling legal and daily expenses that have suddenly become impossible to manage on our own. My mom has always done her best for us, and I want to do everything I can to help her through this crisis.
