We're in need of help. I have worked hard to be able to be comfortable raising my 2 boys but we're in a situation now where I am needing to take in 3 additional kids and I only have a 3 bedroom home. I have a large unfinished basement where I can make 2 additional bedrooms but I don't have the funds to do it. We have been quoted about 15k to have a company do it and that is no where near financially feasible for us. The kids are expected to move in with us this week and CPS is trying to work with us since we're family but if we can't figure a way to make the extra bedrooms then they'll take them and send them to a foster facility which there are none in the Roanoke area that can take them so they'll be hours away from any family. One of the kids has autism so she requires a special type of foster facility. We have never been the people to ask for help but we're desperate to not put the kids through anymore than they already have been through and I really don't want them to be shipped hours away from the little family they do have. If anyone would be willing to donate any funds for us to get material, hire an electrician, etc. Or if anyone has building material like 2x4s, dry wall, linoleum, insulation, etc that they could donate Evan Arney and I would be SO GRATEFUL. I've never asked for $ before so I am not even sure how it works 100% but I do have a venmo and a cash app that I'll list in the comments so it's easy to copy and paste. Again, I appreciate any help at all of this huge task. We just want to help them the best we can.
