Hello, my name is Jessika, and I never imagined I would have to write something like this.

My husband, Marcos, is a hardworking and law-abiding man. Two years ago, he fulfilled one of his greatest dreams: becoming a father. That same year, our lives were shaken when he suffered a stroke (CVA). By God’s mercy, strength, and a long recovery process, he has been slowly rebuilding his life, his health, and his future with our family.

Just when we believed we were finally standing on our feet again, we were caught completely by surprise: Marcos was detained by immigration.

This has been devastating for our family — emotionally, physically, and financially. Despite everything, there is still hope, but we must act quickly.

To fight for his freedom and keep him detained here in Massachusetts, we urgently need:

• Approximately $10,000 to file a Habeas Corpus petition

• Around $6,000 to keep him in the Massachusetts region

• Additional attorney and legal fees

Unfortunately, we do not have the financial means to cover these costs in such a short period of time. Asking for help is not easy, but at this moment, it is our only path.
