Lisdoonvarna Tidy Towns is a committed group of local volunteers who meet twice a week to maintain and enhance the beauty of our town and surrounding areas. Our work is all about community pride, care for the environment, and creating spaces we can all enjoy.
We currently look after 8 key areas in and around Lisdoonvarna—and this year, we’ve taken on even more:
New Projects for 2025:
• The gardens at Corpus Christi Church
• The Community Orchard at Rooska
• Painting of the Kincora Road Bridge, Canon Hill, and the library entrance
We acknowledge the contributions of Lisdoonvarna businesses in 2024 and we look forwad to their continued support. Whilst we receive some support from Clare County Council, Dept of Rural & Community Development & POBAL, these funds don’t cover all the costs—and in some cases, we need to provide matching funds to access grants.
That’s where you come in.
What We’re Fundraising For:
• The purchase of plants and bulbs
• Replacement and upkeep of hand tools and equipment
• Biodiversity projects
• The cost of lawn mowing at Bloods and Bens Crosses
• A large public mural in the main town carpark
• And this year, we need to replace the Christmas lights in the town square to keep the festive spirit alive!
Every euro you give helps us continue our work, expand our impact, and keep Lisdoonvarna vibrant, green, and welcoming all year round.
Whether you’re a local resident or now residing overseas please donate today—no amount is too small. Your support lights up Lisdoonvarna!
Thank you for being part of our community effort
