Help Us Keep Joselynn & Baby Ivan Safe and Housed

Hi, my name is Johana Rodriguez. I'm reaching out on behalf of my 16-year-old sister, Joselynn, and her 3-month-old baby boy, Ivan.

Recently, Joselynn was kicked out by one of our family members due to false accusations, leaving her with nowhere to go and no safe place for her and her newborn. Since then, Joselynn, baby Ivan, our brother Joseph, and I have all been through a traumatic experience — we were detained at gun and taser point. This has left us shaken, but even more determined to protect and support each other.

Right now, we’re staying in a hotel thanks to Joseph, who used his entire life savings to cover this week. Our checkout is this Friday morning — after that, we have nowhere else to go.

Many people have told me to send Joselynn and her baby to a shelter. But if this were your little sister, or your newborn nephew, I know you’d want better for them — so do we. We want to keep our family together and help Joselynn build a future.

Joselynn is also willing to work. She loves kids and is open to babysitting or cleaning homes to help contribute.
