Supporting Our Veterans: A Memorable Day and Continued Efforts

On May 5th, we had the incredible honour of hosting a memorable event to celebrate and support our veterans. We were joined by 8 WWII veterans, who attended in person, and the atmosphere was truly unforgettable.

We witnessed an outstanding display of skill and bravery from the Junior Field Gun crews, including teams from HMS Sultan RN, Gosport Division RM, HMS Excellent RN, and the Portsmouth Division RM Cadets from the Volunteer Cadet Corps. Their performances were nothing short of amazing, and they showcased the dedication and pride of our military community.

In addition to the incredible field gun performances, we were treated to amazing performances from local community groups, further emphasizing the strong bonds we share as a community in supporting our veterans.

However, there is still more work to be done. We need to continue raising funds to ensure we can provide ongoing support to our veterans, ensuring they receive the recognition, care, and services they deserve. There are still outstanding costs to cover, but we are committed to directing all profits from this event to Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) and Junior Field Gun crews, including teams from:

HMS Sultan Royal Navy

Gosport Division Royal Marines

HMS Excellent Royal Navy

Portsmouth Division Royal Marines Cadets from the Volunteer Cadet Corps
