Our community lost a beloved friend, mentor, and “Mayor of Ardmore,” Rodney “Bussy” Williams. Bussy was more than a neighbor—he was family to so many, always ready with a smile, a story, or a helping hand. He gave his heart to Ardmore, and now we want to give something back in his honor.

In contact with the Township, we have the opportunity to place a memorial bench at the Spring Avenue Tot Lot, right in the heart of the neighborhood he loved. This will be a lasting tribute where families, friends, and neighbors can sit, reflect, and remember the impact Bussy had on all of us.

The Township requires $2,200 to cover the cost of the bench and installation. We’ve set a fundraising goal of $2,500 to not only meet that need but also help with any additional expenses/fees from Gofundme transactions.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us reach this goal. Together, we can make sure Bussy’s legacy lives on in the place he cherished most—his Ardmore community.

Funds will be collected through, The World Was Made For You, a Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded by children's author Nahjee Grant, then distributed directly to the Township.
