For many years, Rockin' Chair has been part of our family story, and now we are asking for help as we give this old family boat the farewell it deserves. I am raising funds for our family and the Sailing Vessel Rockin' Chair to bring it home from Sodus Point, NY to Youngstown, NY. On October 18, 2026, Rockin' Chair will compete in its final race with family members aboard, followed by a gathering we are calling the Final Debrief at the Youngstown Yacht Club at 1400hrs. This day will be a chance for us to honor the memories tied to this boat and celebrate everything it has meant to our family and you.

The funds raised will help cover the cost of significant outstanding marina fees, transporting Rockin' Chair home and preparing for its last race. They will also help us with the difficult final step: destroying the boat and placing it in a landfill. This is not easy for us, but we want to do it the right way and give Rockin' Chair a meaningful sendoff. If you are able to support us, we would be deeply grateful. Any funds raised beyond these costs will be donated to the Youngstown Community Boating Foundation to help support community boating for others. Thank you for helping us honor Rockin' Chair's legacy and this final chapter for our family.
