Help Us Honor Lucille Mae Healy & Protect Her Legacy
My name is Kattie Loniello, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my late grandmother, Lucille Mae Healy, a devoted mother, grandmother, and the heart of our family. Lucile passed away unexpectedly this July in Knox, Indiana, at 88 years old. Since her passing, my family has faced tremendous challenges—not only emotionally, but legally and financially—as we try to honor her wishes and protect the home and belongings she left behind.
What Happened:
After Lucile’s passing, we discovered devastating actions that have made this difficult time even more painful. While our family gathered to mourn, certain individuals took advantage of her death by illegally entering her home and removing valuable and sentimental belongings, including jewelry, important documents , and cherished keepsakes. 2 of the cars she owned were taken. 1 had been recovered, with a broken window and missing key. The other one still has not been discovered .
Even more heartbreaking, due to financial mismanagement and manipulation by certain family members, we lost access to a headstone that was already paid for. My grandmother deserved a final resting place marked with love and dignity, but now even that part of her memorial has been taken from her—and from us.
We’ve also had multiple incidents involving threats and trespassing, including someone allegedly pointing a gun at myself & family while we were at her home during this process. The police have shown 0 support. We’re currently trying to uphold a 2017 notarized will, but the situation is complicated by ongoing drug activity and instability among certain relatives. Despite our grief, we are working tirelessly to protect Lucile’s home, her memory, and what little she left for her daughters and grandchildren.
What We Need:
We are humbly asking for support to help us cover critical expenses, including:
• Attorney fees to secure rightful ownership and recover stolen property
• Costs to clean out and restore the house after it was ransacked
• Expenses related to securing and selling the property to fulfill Lucile’s final wishes
• Replacement key for the stolen car
• Travel and lodging as our family commutes from out of state to handle affairs
• Funeral-related costs that were not covered due to sudden circumstances for instance, her headstone.
Why This Means So Much:
My grandmother was a fighter—a Southside Chicago woman through and through—who raised five daughters and her grandchildren with love, wisdom, and toughness. She believed in hard work, making something out of nothing, and standing up for what’s right. Now it’s our turn to fight for her.
Any donation, big or small, will go directly to protecting my grandmother’s legacy and ensuring justice is served. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Your support means more than words can say.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for standing with us during this time.
With love,
