It’s impossible to capture a soul like Laurie’s in just one page. She often called herself “mean Laurie” as a joke—because we all knew how far from the truth that was. Laurie was compassionate, kind, and fiercely protective of the people she loved.

Her home was always open, and over the years, she welcomed many with warmth and care. She went out of her way to make sure everyone felt safe and happy. She deserved the very best—she still does.

Our family is doing everything we can to honor her memory in the way she truly deserves. Laurie wouldn’t have wanted anything extravagant or for anyone to feel burdened. She was cremated, and we will be holding a service in her honor on June 28th.

We are reaching out for support from friends and family to help cover the costs of her cremation and a small memorial ❤️ Someone had offered to cover the costs a few months ago while she was in the hospital but said they are no longer going to do so, so we are scrambling to get everything together. Anything at all is appreciated but we also want to thank everyone for reaching out, the love and support from everyone who loved her has been amazing and comforting
