In June 2024, our soccer community was devastated by the sudden loss of our beloved Coach Karen Testa.

We’re raising funds to dedicate a Memory Bench in Karen's honor at Lion Gate Park — a place where players, families, and friends can gather to reflect, share stories, and remember that no one walks alone. This special spot will celebrate the joy, kindness, and spirit Coach Karen brought to our community.

For more than 15 years, Coach Karen poured her heart, time, and passion into coaching girls across the Bloomfield community — from Little Cleats to 8th Grade. She was more than a coach; she was a mentor, a role model, and a constant source of encouragement and laughter for every player who crossed her path.

Her loss has left an incredible void — not only on the soccer field but in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Coach Karen inspired confidence, teamwork, and compassion in countless young athletes. She believed in every player, and she made each of them feel seen and valued.

Now, as a community, we want to give back a fraction of the love she gave us.
