I would like to thank everyone for their kindness during this most difficult time as we shared with heavy hearts the passing of our beloved sister, Angela, who left us far too soon at the age of 55 after a difficult battle with cancer.

Angela was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated so much of her life to caring for others, especially helping raise her grandchildren. Her home was a place of warmth, support, and unconditional love. She truly believed she had many more years ahead of her with the family she cherished so deeply.

Tragically, her journey with cancer was made even more difficult by delays in receiving the care she needed. After initially seeking help through the emergency department, critical paperwork was never forwarded to the gynecologic oncologist. When she followed up herself, she was told no referral had been received. Despite months of trying to advocate for her own care, she was unable to secure the timely treatment she deserved.

During that time, her tumor grew to twice its size and eventually metastasized. By the time she was able to move forward with care, her condition had significantly worsened.

Our family is devastated—not only by the loss of an incredible woman, but by the circumstances that contributed to it.

Angela was living on disability, yet she continued to give everything she could to her family. Her passing has left a deep emotional and financial void. Her daughters and grandchildren relied on her strength, stability, and love, and now they are facing an uncertain future without her.
