Hi family and friends,

Our mother, Alisa, is currently fighting Stage IV breast cancer. We (The Great 8) have decided to create this GoFundMe to assist with transition costs.

Our story

Our mother was first diagnosed with Stage IIIB breast cancer in 2013. Since her diagnosis, she has promised us that she would continue to fight until she could not fight any longer. She asked God to see her youngest of The Great 8 turn 18. God has continued to fulfill His promise and then some.

Our mother was wrongfully terminated from Safeway after 25+ years in 2023, causing her to lose her healthcare benefits and life insurance policy. Throughout the years, she has served as a constant support and inspiration to cancer survivors and all those around her. In 2021 and 2022, with your support, we raised over $10,000 for patients of Maryland Oncology Hematology; 100% of the proceeds always went to the patients.

To know our beautiful mother is to know how strong, selfless, and encouraging she is to everyone she comes across. She has instilled those values in all eight of her children. She is a proud graduate of the illustrious Howard University and has always expressed the importance of continuing our education.

We are now asking for your support to help with the cost of our mother's transition. She is currently in hospice, continuing her fight. One we know she will never lose. As she has said many times over the years, anyone that dares to fight never loses. We all know that cancer hates to see her coming!
